untitled
signed 'ARPITA SINGH' (lower right) and dated '1999' (lower centre)
watercolour
23 x 17 in. (59.7 x 45.1 cm.)

Specialist note

The present watercolour bears a close affinity to Arpita Singh's series of watercolours titled Feminine Fables (1996) inspired by the private lives of women. Her watercolours are characteristically dense, multilayered and full of flowing movement.
