Provenance: Edward Henry Scott (armorial bookplate).

A VERY FINE COPY OF THIS MAGNIFICENT WORK comprising parts I and II and the first 12 plates of part III, being those dated between 1795 and 1800. It seems that the work was issued in sets of twelve or complete parts of twenty-four plates. This was certainly the case with part III, the second 12 plates of which were the last of all six parts to be issued (1808). For a fuller discussion of Daniells' work see the introductory notes in this catalogue and Abbey. Abbey Travel 420 plates 1-63 inclusive.
