The commemorative programme witnesses the sheer scale and complexity of the Coronation Durbar, not least in the size of the temporary camp, which incorporated, amongst much else, two entire polo fields. The scrapbooks give some impression of to the great success of the Durbar in its effect on the popular imagination in both Britain and India.
