First established first in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine, Pierre Pioniez moved to rue Michel-le-Comte in the Marais after he became a matre bbiste. Specialised in the manufacture of late Louis XV furniture with either parquetry or pictorial marquetry, his marquetry is often reminiscent that on pieces made by his brother-in-law, Roger Vandercruse (R.V.L.C. called 'Lacroix').
