the first with maker's mark W.N., Chester, 1906, 9 carat
the second by S.Mordan & Co., London, 1907, 9 carat
the third with maker's mark M & M, Sheffield, [no date], 18 carat.
The vesta case rectangular of oval form, one side engraved with intertwined initials R.F.S., with hinged lid and striker at base, marked on body - 1 (4cm.) high; the pencil holder cylindrical with ribbed bands, marked on cylinder - 3in. (8cm.) long; the chain with plain links, marked on one catch and each link - 15in. (38cm.) long.
