Lot Essay

The delicate form of this table is achieved through the integration of tall thin turned legs and narrow proportions. Very similar to a table most likely from the same shop with nearly identical legs, this example represents a more refined version with its squared cornered top and beaded edge which further enhances its slim appearance (The Collection of Dr. and Mrs. Marvin, Sothbey's, September 30-October 1, 1978, lot 295).
