A paper-covered book, 12in. by 9in. (30cm. by 24cm.), entitled KRUGER LE GRAND et John Bull le Petit by CARAN D'ACHE, containing approximately 20 full-page cartoons, a few in colour, the majority in black and white, whose anti-British venom is painfully apparent. The foreword states that 'son inspiration s'est faite plus satirique que bouffonne, et plus indigne que joyeuse ... on trouvera autant de piti pour les soldats anglais envoys la mort par les spculateurs anglais, que d'admiration pour leur hroques adversaires', and several of the cartoons pillory Cecil Rhodes and Joseph Chamberlain
