A tea-caddy 9in. (23cm.) high 3in. (8cm.) diameter in the shape of an artillery shell, a small red-painted plaque on each side, inscribed 'Facsimile of the Shell/Memento of the Transvaal War 1899-1900', the base bearing label of 'The British & Benington's Tea Asson. Limited, 118 Southwark St. London'; a pressed tin letter-rack bearing two small glazed panels with portraits of Buller and French; and a tin plate 11in. (30cm.) diameter, with large coloured portrait of Lord Roberts in Full dress in the centre, the rim decorated with laurel-wreath and vignettes of Kitchener, Kelly-Kenny, Hector MacDonald and Pole-Carew, separated by Royal Arms (approximately 8 inches of the outer edge of the rim damaged and repainted)
