Brigadier-General Disney John Menzies Fasson, [C.B.], [C.M.G.], served as an A.D.C. to one of the Lieutenant-Generals commanding an Infantry Division at Paardeberg and was Mentioned in Despatches by Lord Roberts (London Gazette 16.4.1901 refers). He was also present at the disaster at Zilikat's Nek. During the Great War he held several commands including G.O.C., R.A. 18 Corps and was created C.B., C.M.G., Mentioned in Despatches seven times and once wounded.
