Burger G.P. Gibson was wounded on 20.8.1900 and taken prisoner on 31.8.1900 at Eland's River. He was a member of the Pretoria Commando and fought in Natal, including Alleman's Nek, and in the Transvaal. Gibson was sent to St. Helena on 19.9.1900.
