Lot Essay

Introduced in June 1888 and discontinued in 1889 around 5200 examples of the original Kodak were made before it underwent a re-design appearing in 1889 as the No. 1 Kodak.
Arthur Turner was well known in photography circles in New Zealand and was general manager and a director of Kodak (New Zealand).
