The black lacquer case with a gold interior finely decorated with a repeating swastika pattern, the Buddha seated with one leg draped over a lotus base mounted on rockwork above a rounded rectangular base with pierced foliate panels, the left hand holding a wish granting jewel, the face downcast in a meditative state, clad in long draped robes with gilt patterning
