LATE 19TH CENTURY, BLUE T SURMOUNTING AN X MARK AND BEARING BLUE BEEHIVE MARK, PAINTED BY DITTRICH

Each of baluster form, the rocaille scroll handles rising from the shoulder to the rim, the domed cover with berry finial, the neck, foot and stand gilt and 'jewelled' with arabesques, anthemion, pendant husks and vine, painted in colours with the 'Daughters of the Shiek' named in German on the underside, the reverse gilt with a flowering urn within a square panel and reserved on the white and pink grounds, similarly gilt with horizontal band of variant geometric patterns, the interior gilt--22¼in.
