Inset with a rectangular veined maroon marble top with rounded corners, above the frieze cast with alternating flutes and acanthus, the front and back with a rectangular relief cast with four putti with instruments emblematic of Astronomy, each end with a spring-loaded drawer, on tapering fluted acanthus-headed legs joined by a shaped stretcher with central urn finial, on toupie feet
