Fransje Kuyvenhoven, has, after seeing the original, kindly suggested that this could be by J.A. Knip, presumably assisted by one of his children, August (1819-1861) or Henriette (1821-1909).
J.A. Knip returned to The Hague in 1827 because of increasing problems with his eyes, which resulted in blindness in one eye that same year. His young children were still taught by him a few years later, and King Willem I gave him a yearly income of Nlg. 400 in 1833. Henriette is known to have lived with her father until his death. Boxtel is situated between Knip's native town of Tilburg and 's Hertogenbosch, where he lived in 1812-6 and where he returned in 1836-40
