A View of a Town on a River

While the drawing has tarditionally been identified as a view of the Nieuwe Haven at Dordrecht, the churches depicted are not accurate to the site, and the vague indication of hills on both sides may rather indicate a view inspired by Verveer's journeys to Germany or France in the 1830s
