painted with a vignette of Venus and Cupid among clouds, the reverse with a loose spray of flowers, within gilt scroll quatrefoil panels below borders of gilt swirls, blue crossed swords marks, circa 1880 (one handle lacking, minor chips to finial) -- 13cm. high
