In 1931 Universal shot two versions of Dracula, one in English directed by Ted Browning with Bela Lugosi as Dracula, and a lesser known version in Spanish directed by George Melford with Carlos Villarias as Dracula. The herald in this lot is for the Spanish version which many regard as the superior film. No original poster of any kind has ever surfaced for the Spanish film.
