The case with brass handle to inverted bell top, later brass acorn finials to the angles, glazed side panels, in-filled frets to the front door, on later feet, the brass dial with strike/silent ring to the arch foliate spandrels to the silvered chapter ring signed Robert Clidsdale EDINBURGH, the matted centre with mock pendulum and date apertures, cut steel hands (tip of minute broken), the five pillar twin chain fusee movement with reconverted verge escapement, the backplate engraved with foliate scrolls and ho-ho birds -- 18in.
