Modelled as a cinerarium, the rectangular case carved in high relief with birds and a floral swag below a volute scrolled top, inset with an engine-milled and silvered brass Roman dial, the twin train movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell, on a later associated portoro marble plinth
