Of flattened pear shape, both sides are painted with a single figure, one depicting the female warrior stringing her bow below the inscription, Mulan, the other of a male warrior below the inscription Chen Wu Shu Wuyue Wang, stopper

Lot Essay

Mulan was the female disguised as a male, famed during the Han dynasty, (206 BC - AD 220). Chen Wu Shu was the king of the Wuyue kingdom during the Five Dynasties period (AD 896-978)
