The Complete Angler's Vade-Mecum, London: Payne and Mackinlay, Cuthell and Martin, 1808. 8, 10 etched plates (title and preliminaries a little stained at edges), contemporary polished calf, spine in compartments with repeated gilt vignettes of a fisherman (covers detached, spine rubbed and with later label). Provenance: Culsha, Sign Hill (inscription on title). FIRST EDITION. W. & S. p. 241: "the general character of the work ... is essentially original"; Petit 2192.
