Tibet, 15th/16th Century
Finely cast seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with beaded rim, holding the sacred vase in his folded hands, his dhoti with delicately incised diamond and 'cash' borders, richly adorned with beaded necklaces, armlets and bracelets inset with coral, turquoise and malachite, his face with a tranquil expression with downcast eyes beneath gently arched brows, framed by a hairline of curls and an intricate foliate tiara, the base sealed with intact consecration, gilt and incised with a double-vajra
