Attributed to Daniel Pabst (w. 1854-1896), Philadelphia, 1875-1895
The pedimented crest centered by a carved rosette and flanked by incised and chamfered stiles headed by circular ears, all above a rectangular frame with floral scroll carved edges enclosing a silk-on-silk needlework pictorial depicting a parrot in a tree worked in shades of green, brown and cream, all over a reeded skirt, on paired splayed legs, all on an ebonized ground
