1754, blue interlaced L's enclosing date letter B, indistinct painter's mark perhaps a crescent
Painted with exotic birds among trees and shrubs within gilt foliage and flower cartouches between gilt line and dentil rims, the cover with carnation finial (finial restuck)

Lot Essay

The painter's mark is probably for Louis-Denis Armand (active 1745-88).
