the exterior painted with a continuous frieze of two figures with a dog in a landscape with a building and Triumphal arch, the border painted with cell and diaper-pattern panels, circa 1770 (cracked and restored) -- 30.5cm. diam; three other English delft plates (one restored, rim nibbles); a tile painted in manganese with a man in a landscape (restored), various dates 18th century; and a stoneware tankard moulded with hunting scenes with white-metal rim (cracked) -- 17cm. high See colour plate 1 (6)
