A pair of Minton urn-shaped blue-ground jardinires
designed by Professor Gottfried Semper, with serpent handles, moulded with rope-twist borders, the rim moulded with a band of circles and stylised foliage, with mottled green, yellow and brown interior, date codes for 1858 (one extensively damaged, the other with large chip to one serpent) --
