by Louis-Antoine Herbault (fl. 1722-1746), marked, with the discharge mark of Antoine Leschaudel 1744-1750 and other rubbed marks
Slightly tapering tui--cire of cartouche-shaped section, cover and base with flat front and rear walls and convex side walls embossed, chased and engraved with Rgence style scrolls, shellwork and reeded plain bands on frosted grounds, divided by vertical concave plain gold bands, raised reeded gold rims, the cover topped by a slightly domed geometrical reeded decoration, the oval matrix engraved with the arms of a demoiselle of the Voisin de Neubosc et de Saint-Paul family from Normandy
