The brass movement with platform detent escapement with bimetallic compensation balance, en passant hour, half hour, quarter striking, repeating and alarm with three hammers on two gongs on the backplate, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and eccentric subsidiary seconds dial, two subsidiary dials for alarm and date, all surrounded by an engine-turned gilt plate, the gilt bronze case with glazed sides, back, door and top, on bun feet, repeating mechanism operated by pressing the plunger in the top, strike/not strike lever in the bottom, together with original fitted leather travelling case and key, case signed
