Avus-Berlin 1937; A very fine trophy award in the form of a spread-eagle surmounting globe; supremely sculpted in the Germanic style, heavy cast-bronze with superb detail and with raised laurel leaf design to base; applied silver plaque engraved and inscribed, surmounting a polished black marble base with "Dem Sieger in AvusRennen 1937" and inscribed signature "Huhnlein". Specially commissioned, donated and presented by the Minister for Sport. Wingspan 34in (87cm).
