Winner of 10 Grands Prix. Team Lotus driver from 1973 until 1976 and again in 1978. Pole Position 14 times including 9 in one season (1973). Ronnie Peterson was generally accepted as the quickest driver of his era, his full potential realized when he joined Team Lotus in 1973, driving the most competitive car of the year. He won his first Grand Prix at Paul Ricard and winning at Osterreichring, Monza and Watkins Glen. His ultimate speed forced Emerson Fittipaldi to leave the team for McLaren; whilst in 1974, in the aging Lotus 72 (its 5th season) he still won at Monaco, Dijon and again at Monza.
