JODY SCHECKTER
World Champion driver 1979. Winner of 10 Grands Prix. After spells at McLaren (1972 & 1973) and Tyrell from 1974 until 1976 the latter bringing him his first four Grand Prix Victories. Jody Scheckter signed for Walter Wolf Racing Team for 1977. Surprisingly winning his first Grand Prix for them in Argentina and going on to win the prestigious Monaco race, followed by a famous home win in Canada; a season which gave him second place in the World Championship, at the wheel of the single entry of the last true private-entrant in Formula One. A Wolf private-test session at Fiorano persuaded Enzo Ferrari to sign him.
