The mottled grey marble top with canted corners above a conforming case with chequered stringing and crossbanding overall, the long frieze drawer over a fall-front enclosing six short drawers flanking pigeon-holes of various sizes above a pair of lower doors enclosing two sectioned shelves, the canted corners with laurel swag-hung architectonic mounts over faux-fluted inlay, on squared feet with acanthus sabots, later graining to interior, restoration to interior, the bottom of interior formerly with a coffre-fort
