Of cylindrical form, decorated with gilt bands and an engine-turned pattern of stars, centered by a vacant cartouche, the cover engraved with text, with heart-shaped thumb piece, the flutes on stepped circular base, rising to a baluster stem, decorated with foliate cartouches, the casket of rectangular form, the hinged cover engraved with cartouche and date inside, on shaped supports, with two handles, the miniatures both depicting female figures, one in foliate frame, the other in plain frame
