A bronze spouted ewer, Northern European, 15th century
of bellied form with loop handle, the slightly curving spout with strut support to the waisted neck, on tripod legs with protruding toes, re-patinated -- 9in. (22.8cm.) high

A metallurgical analysis, by Dr Peter Northover of Oxford University, in favour of this lot is available. The ewer is reputedly Scottish.
