The god of War seated on a rock-form base supported on a shaped plinth with scrolled apron at the front, dressed in a long-sleeved dragon robe belted at the chest, shown with his left arm resting on his knee and raised right arm covered in chain mail at the shoulder, his well-modeled face quizzically turned to one side with furrowed, raised brow, below an elaborate headress, all picked out in shades of bright green, aubergine and yellow, his face and hands left in the biscuit, some restoration--9¼in. (23.5cm.) high
