The maps contained within this feuillet are each signed CH. PIQUET. Charles Picquet (1771-1827), was official Geographer to the King of France and the Duc d'Orléans, and was also an engraver and publisher. He worked at various places in Paris, but moved to his final location on the Quai de Conti No. 17 near the Pont des Arts in 1820 (See R.V. Tooley, Dictionary of Mapmakers, 1979, pp. 505).
