Tasting note: Seven notes, five since the mid-1980s. By and large a most impressive mouthful. Soft, fleshy, fragrant, and despite strange, bitter tannins, showing well, particularly on the palate. Still deep, rich, intense and slightly immature-looking; restrained, rather peppery nose, touch of old wood. On the palate, very sweet, full, fleshy. Loads of fruit, extract and tannin, like leather in silken sheets. MB GVWB II
