Tasting note: A magnificent imperial was served at Christie's "Grands Crus" pre-sale dinner in September 1997: Vivid golden colour, viscous in texture. Multi-dimensional bouquet, packed with citric fruits and rich honey - truely ethereal although still youthful. Marvellous on the palate: concentrated, sweet and lushious but with fantastic cut in acidity. Beautiful clean finish and great length. Will keep for many years to come. (T.Hudson)
