Vase-shaped and on square base with four leaf-capped lion's paw feet, the body with two reeded shell and foliate scroll bracket handles with lion's mask terminals, chased beneath the rim with a band of arcading, palmettes and anthemion on a matted ground, with gadrooned shell, foliate scroll and anthmion border, the detachable domed cover with water-leaf and anthemion band and rising bud finial with pierced stem, with eagle's mask spigot and plain ivory tap, the interior with heating rod holder with pierced sides and plain cover with ring handle, marked on base, cover, liner and liner cover
