A Japanese bronze group
modelled as a ferocious lion attacking a writhing tiger, the lion with one forepaw on the tigers haunches, with its head lowered, mouth open and teeth bared, the tiger lying on its back, both with inlaid eyes -- 15in. (40cm.) long, 19th Century, wood stand, (some minor wear).
