A double-sided pasteboard planispheric device for observing the horizon, comprising a rotating disc engraved on both sides with a celestial chart, the constellations depicted by mythical beast and figures and some objects, with graduated ecliptic and graduations in degrees and hours around the edge, held within a card mount, one side labelled Nordlicher Horizont, the other Sdlicher Horizont with graduations in degrees and hours on both sides (some staining), in a card slipcase covered in marbled paper with applied maker's label (some scuffing and paper loss to edges) -- 8in. (21.6cm.) square
