D.F.C. London Gazette 20.7.1945. Recommendation states
'Flying Officer Wallace has completed 34 operational sorties, 22 of which have been with the Path Finder Force. This Officer is a keen and reliable Pilot. He has carried out his sorties in this Squadron with great determination and zest. His good captaincy has achieved a fine crew spirit and resulted in good operational results. He has plenty of grit, and presses home his attacks with great keenness. Flying Officer Wallace has shown enthusiasm, loyalty and devotion to duty of a high order, and I recommend him for the award of the Distinguished Flying Cross'.

Major Kenneth Thomas Wallace, D.F.C., originally enrolled in the Royal Canadian Air Force Special Reserve as an Aircraftsman 2nd Class in May 1942 and was commissioned as a Pilot Officer in June 1943. Advanced to Flying Officer in December of the same year and to Acting Flight Lieutenant in March 1945, he transferred to the R.C.A.F. Reserve at the end of the year. His D.F.C. was won with No. 156 Squadron of No. 8 Path Finder Group, with whom he completed a very full tour of operations between late 1944 and March 1945, largely against heavily defended German targets. He subsequently joined the Regular R.C.A.F. in October 1946, became a Squadron Leader in June 1952 and a Major in February 1968 (Armed Forces Reorganistaion Act).
