FOUR NOOTKA/MAKAH POLYCHROME TWINED BASKETS
Each woven in cedar bark and dyed bear grass, the first of cylindrical form with lid, decorated in the negative with duck motifs, a band of floral motifs encircling the lid; the second of cylindrical form with lid, decorated with a central band of meander design enclosed by two narrow bands, similar motifs on the lid, knob at the top of lid; the third of ovular form with lid, decorated with central band of linked diamond motifs, the lid with serrated pattern enclosed by narrow band borders; the fourth of rectangular form with flaring sides, decorated with a central band enclosing serrated pattern, enclosed at top and bottom with narrow band border
