Lot Essay

An excellent Cheyenne Tobacco bag, this bag is unique in that there are several design elements not commonly found on Cheyenne Tobacco bags. The first is the central panel with its series of connected triangles and diamonds forming a quilt like pattern using four colors. The second is the use of the diamond "feather" design above the main beaded area. Both these elements show the artist's aesthetic excellence while remaining within a traditional format.
