With rebrowned twist barrels with traces of gold-damascened decoration and gold-damascened inscription 'Canon Moir' on the rib, patent breeches, long engraved tang, foliate engraved back-action locks signed in gold, chiselled hammers, finely figured walnut half-stock, raised cheek-piece, chequering heightened with carved flower-heads on the grip and fore-end, the butt carved with a stag's head and hounds in relief, engraved iron mounts, steel sling swivels, and ivory-tipped whalebone ramrod (shortened and repaired), St. Etienne proof
