The first signed Bunney, early 19th Century, the second by M. Donogh, Dublin, circa 1800
The first with belled three-stage iron barrel, spring bayonet above, signed flat bevelled lock with roller, engraved stepped tail, and rainproof pan (cock associated), walnut three-quarter stock (cracked), engraved iron mounts, and later ramrod, Birmingham proof marks; the second with swamped octagonal sighted barrel, gold line and gold-lined vent, signed lock with roller and raised pan, walnut full stock, chequered butt, engraved iron mounts, silver escutcheon, and horn-tipped ramrod (both pistols in worn condition)
