In the Baroque taste, inlaid with pewter lines and veneered in scarlet tortoiseshell and inset with lapis, the top centred by a plaque engraved with historical scene with the inscription below The Conquest of Naples by Charles VIII de France 1490, within a geometric surround with panels and foliate scrolls with mythological roundels to the corners, the frieze with similar panels inlaid with hardstones, on polygonal tapering legs joined by a curved undertier with similar inlay, terminating in turned feet, the top with damaged areas
