London, circa 1900-1909

From the book London, published in 1909, which contained twenty photogravures. Coburn was an admirer of the subtleties of the fine photogravure and learned the process himself. In 1909, he moved house and was able to set up two printing presses at home in addition to his studio and darkroom. This series was the first to be printed on his own presses.
