incised and gilt an exotic bird among flowers and rockwork below the moon, the reverse with numerous lines of inscriptions -- 2.in (6.4cm) high; another ivory bottle similarly decorated with buildings on a mountainous rover landscape, stopper -- 2.in (6.4cm) high; an amber bottle carved with a bat in flight above lingzhi, stopper -- 2.in (7cm) high; a Mongolian style mounted ivory bottle and stopper inlaid in malachite, lapis and coral beads -- 2.in (6.4cm) high; a silver and enamel four-sectional hinged medicine bottle and stoppers decorated with precious objects and calligraphy within key-fret borders -- 1.in (3.8cm) high; an inlaid metal bottle with shou-characters, stopper -- 2.in (5.7cm) high; and a large wood bottle and stopper carved with roundels of pine and foliage below animal handles -- 4.in (12.1cm) high, 19th Century.
